If you are setting up an ASUS AN8-SLI for the first time and you can’t get the video card to work (the systems starts, but you get a black screen), remove the SLI mode selector card. Once I removed it, the system booted right up.

Need to slim down a phpMyAdmin installation? You are in luck. The easiest way to reduce the disk space requirements is to remove most of the language files from phpMyAdmin. These files are located in the folder “lang”. I was able to save over 5MB by deleting every language except English.
While working with a C program for one of my classes, I got one of the coolest errors ever!
bash-2.05$ ./a.out <pdata
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)
I messed up one of the variables (I forgot the “&”) which caused the above error.
Overall I am glad it happened because I just love the phrase “core dumped”, I don’t know why, I just do.
It seemed as though Flickr was eliminating my old pictures as I uploaded new ones. I began to notice it after I passed the 200 picture mark. My photostream always seemed to have 200 pictures. My first thought was that Flickr was discarding my old pictures. And it seemed to make sense since the earliest pictures I could locate were not the first ones I uploaded.
So what is going on? I ended up finding my pictures by clicking on the “Archive” link. Apparently Flickr limits the free accounts to 200 photos in your photostream, but all the pictures are still available via the archives. If you upgrade to “Flickr Pro” this limitation is removed and all your pics are always visible.
It is a good thing I found this out because I was going to make this post about why people should not use Flickr.
All I can say is, “WOW!”. I emailed Flickr support because I messed up by associating the wrong Yahoo! account with my Flickr account:
Hello,
I need a big favor. I messed up and associated the wrong Yahoo! email with my Flickr account. “xyz@yahoo.com” mistakenly got attached to my flickr account. The address I want attached to flickr is “abc@yahoo.com”
I tried to fix it myself, but I only got an error telling me that the account was already associated with another Yahoo! ID.
Thank you kindly,
Blake
Within 5 minutes on a Saturday night they emailed me back:
Helo Blake,
I’ve gone ahead and unmerged your Flickr account from your
Yahoo ID.Regards,
-Terrence
Terrence, you ROCK!!! Thanks. I only have a FREE account, and yet I got incredible customer service. I am already a fan of Flickr’s cutting edge photo features and now I am sold on their outstanding support.
