It seemed as though Flickr was eliminating my old pictures as I uploaded new ones. I began to notice it after I passed the 200 picture mark. My photostream always seemed to have 200 pictures. My first thought was that Flickr was discarding my old pictures. And it seemed to make sense since the earliest pictures I could locate were not the first ones I uploaded.

So what is going on? I ended up finding my pictures by clicking on the “Archive” link. Apparently Flickr limits the free accounts to 200 photos in your photostream, but all the pictures are still available via the archives. If you upgrade to “Flickr Pro” this limitation is removed and all your pics are always visible.

It is a good thing I found this out because I was going to make this post about why people should not use Flickr.
