IBM’s new antispam software FairUCE takes the offensive on offensive and/or unwanted email. Basically FairUCE attacks spam making computers by sending them traffic in order to slow them down so they can’t send as much spam. It is certainly an agressive technique, which is exactly why I like it.
According to this article, FairUCE identifies spam generating machines and sends traffic back to them, slowing down their ability to generate more spam. I think that spam has become such a problem that people will embrace anything that promises to reduce the amount of junk email.
