Web Server Stats
If you are running a web site you should know what your server is up to. Who is accessing your site? Which pages are they looking at? Which search engine refered them? What are your times of highest traffic? All of these questions and more can be answered using log file analysis software. One of the most popular (according to freshmeat) is AWStats. Here are some of AWStats capabilities:
* Number of visits, and number of unique visitors,

* Days of week and rush hours (pages, hits, KB for each hour and day of week),

* Search engines, keyphrases and keywords used to find your site (The 115 most famous search engines are detected like yahoo, google, altavista, etc…),
* Screen size (need to add some HTML tags in index page),
* Ratio of Browsers with support of: Java, Flash, RealG2 reader, Quicktime reader, WMA reader, PDF reader (need to add some HTML tags in index page)
